Wellsbourne Community Garden

Volunteers have started work on a new, therapeutic, community garden on the land between the Wellsbourne Hub and the Library. The garden will be a place for sitting and relaxing with family and friends.  It will be for growing flowers, plants, trees, vegetables, herbs and fruit, for everyone to pick and eat.  Work is underway with the grand opening planned for Summer 2021

We need you!

Tell us what you think about the idea, or what you would like to see in the garden. Or, even better, come and lend a hand to make it happen. Any time you can spare would be greatly appreciated. And we have a lot of fun on our volunteer days too.

Wellsbourne Walkers

Our regular, volunteer-led walks will be starting up again as soon as possible. All walks start and finish at the surgery. There are short and easy walks for everyone to enjoy, and longer options if you want to go a further and faster. Something for everyone.

Our Wellsbourne Walkers group is great for taking time out for yourself, leaving stress behind, enjoying nature, chatting with friends and easy exercise.

Dogs are welcome – children too!

To join our next walk, contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Lucy at [email protected].

Art of Wellbeing

Several patients and residents have joined our Health Engagement Worker, Ali, for some art and chat online in recent weeks. As well as having lots of fun, and chats over cups of tea, the group picked a colour each week to work with. They’ve chosen pink, green and blue so far and produced some lovely pieces.

The sessions are completely free and open to complete beginners. No artistic talent needed but if you have some, please bring it along.

You just need some materials to make a picture, like paint, crayons, felt tips, glue, old magazines or whatever you fancy.

You’ll need wifi and a phone or tablet to take part. But if you haven’t got these things, let us know and we will try and get you connected.

To join our next Art of Wellbeing session, contact Ali at [email protected]
