COVID-19 Booster Vaccinations

The COVID-19 booster vaccine campaign is now underway.

People who are more vulnerable to the virus are being invited to top up their protection ahead of winter six months or more after receiving their second jab.

Those in line for a booster jab include everyone aged 50 and over, frontline health and social care workers and those aged between 16 and 49 with an underlying health condition putting them at greater risk from the virus.

You must be at 182 days (six months and a week) from the date of your second vaccination to book a booster.

How do I get my booster?

Our local service is being held at Brighton Racecourse.

To receive your vaccination:

· You will be contacted by the team running the local service to arrange an appointment. This may be by text, letter or phone call.

· You can use the National Booking Service website or by calling 119 when you receive an invite from the national service (a text or a letter). You will be invited when you are six months and a week. You may be eligible and at the six months mark, and the NBS says you are not eligible yet. This is simply a timing issue to add you to the system – please keep trying over the coming days.

· You can attend a walk in session that is offering the booster vaccinations. See the latest list of sessions here.
