Covid infection rates in Brighton and Hove have increased by more than 33% over the last seven days, which means we are being advised by NHS England to resume our infection control measures. This means:
- The clinicians that you see will be wearing masks during appointments. They will also have tested themselves twice a week with lateral flow tests.
- You will be asked, unless exempt, to wear a mask while visiting the practice. This is to protect our most vulnerable patients and staff from infection. Masks are available at reception, so you do not need to remember to bring one with you.
- You will be asked to take your temperature on arrival at the practice and may be asked to wait outside for a few minutes if you appear to have a fever on arrival. This does not mean you will not be seen, just that we might need to see you in a different room of the practice.
I know this may be frustrating for some of you, but would ask you to be patient and polite when our staff are asking you to wear a mask, or take your temperature. We hope that we will not need to have these guidelines in place for long.
