New Tumbler in Town

With funding from Brighton & Hove City Council’s ‘Environmental Improvement Board’, the Wellsbourne Community Garden now boasts a fabulous new compost tumbler. Old Tree Soil Ltd who installed the tumbler will be training our volunteers in how to make top quality humus for all our future planting needs.

Last year, the garden produce was shared out amongst the volunteers and patients of Wellsbourne Healthcare CIC. There were tasty bundles of tomatoes, green beans, lettuce, spinach, herbs and chillies on offer until late Autumn. This year, we are hoping for even more.

The Community Garden volunteers meet regularly on a Tuesday, from 3pm. There’s always a cup of tea and a friendly face to welcome people making their first visit. Whether you’d like to find out more, or volunteer on a regular basis, why not pop down on a Tuesday, between 3pm and 5pm, to meet some of us.
